Bio:

I have always been creative throughout my life but found my passion for clay when I started taking pottery classes offered by fellow potter Rita Nichols.

Pottery is currently only my spare time hobby because I am a full time Health and Physical Education Instructor.  I am hoping someday that I will be able to spend all of my days playing with clay!  Having much more time to devote to my art!

I am an emerging new artist just coming onto the pottery scene.  At this point, I am still trying to find my niche so I am experimenting with many clay mediums in a variety of forms from hand-building to wheel throwing.

I also have combined efforts with my talented mother, who is a porcelain artist, to come up with some very unique hand-painted pottery pieces as well.

Artist Statement:

My studio name reflects my style as an artist, simple.  I prefer to create simple, functional pottery pieces that can be used in everyday life.

Being I am an avid gardner and spend much of my time outdoors, natural colors and earthy tones seem to accentuate the creativity and color within my pieces.

From a morning mug of coffee to a sit down dinner at home, I love to display my love for clay!
